    • (Research):Victor Alexander Bruce, 13th Earl of Kincardine was born on 16 May 1849.2 He was the son of James Bruce, 12th Earl of Kincardine and Lady Mary Louisa Lambton.1 He married, firstly, Lady Constance Mary Carnegie, daughter of James Carnegie, 9th Earl of Southesk and Lady Catherine Hamilton Noel, on 9 November 1876.2 He married, secondly, Gertrude Lilian Sherbrooke, daughter of Commander William Sherbrooke, on 19 November 1913.
      He died on 18 January 1917 at age 67.

      Victor Alexander Bruce, 13th Earl of Kincardine was educated at Trinity College, Glenalmond, Perthshire, Scotland.2 He was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.2 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baron Elgin, of Elgin [U.K., 1849] on 20 November 1863.2 He succeeded to the title of 13th Lord Bruce of Torry [S., 1647] on 20 November 1863.2 He succeeded to the title of 9th Earl of Elgin [S., 1633] on 20 November 1863.2 He succeeded to the title of 13th Earl of Kincardine [S., 1647] on 20 November 1863.2 He succeeded to the title of 9th Lord Bruce of Kinloss [S., 1633] on 20 November 1863
